BOAO 21st CENTURY REAL ESTATE FORUM

1. Background

Boao 21st Century Real Estate Forum is held by the leading business newspaper in China, The 21st Century Business Herald, it is a professional real estate forum which has the highest scale and the largest influence in China. It has held annual conferences for 7 times since August 2001 and it is one of the great events of on real estate in China. Boao 21st Century Real Estate Forum has become an annual expectation for people in real estate industry.

The organizing committee of Boao 21st Century Real Estate Forum works out a different subject according to the latest information and trend of real estate market in China. The most influential professionals and heads from real estate, economics and finance and investment institutions are invited to discuss first hand real estate policies and find a good way to inform themselves during these conferences each year. The organizing committee sets up milestones for Boao 21st Century Real Estate Forum every year. Each conference has improved since it was set up.

In the conference of 2003, the award for “Top Ten China City Housing Companies” was added. In 2004, we had the award “Leading Residential Projects of China”, “Five Architects of China” and “The 21st Century Golf Competition for the Celebrity”. In 2005, the top real estate newspaper, China Real Estate Business, and the famous website, Sina.com, joined us and we added more activities, such as “The Six-Party Talks for Real Estate of China”、“Golden Brick Award for Real Estate of China” and “Young Leaders of Real Estate in China”. In 2006, China Real Estate Industry Association was invited to be one of the sponsors, who analyzed the macro-control policy and provided foreseeable strategy. At the same time, the committee added “ Trade China—Deal Between Institutional Investment and Real Estate Projects”,“Urban Project Promotion”,“Brand Value Management Seminar for Real Estate of China” and “Architecture Philosophy and Design Art Seminar”. In 2007, through three years of macroscopical control the real estate industry experienced a round of profound transformation, so that the extent and depth of social and financial problem concerned has exceeded the real estate industry itself. In the seventh annual conference, the organizing committee and National association of industry and commerce real estate chamber of commerce, start the value evolvement in post-control age of China real estate industry.

As the temperature decreased in 2006 & 2007, the real estate industry in China faced the important task of breaking the ice. No matter whether the capital market or the real estate market have entered an adjustive period.
